Overview

Managed Business Solutions is seeking a Data Analysis and Conversion Consultant to support our pension-related Data Profiling, Cleansing and Migration projects. The Data Analysis and Conversion Consultant will perform data analysis, write Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) scripts, write data reports and provide recommendations for improving data for clients. Colorado / Wyoming candidates preferred; pension related experience a plus; .NET or similar programming skills a plus. The position requires 25% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Attend Data Profiling, Data Issue Resolution and Data Mapping Workshops
  • Document Data Maps and Script Designs
  • Write Data Analysis and Data Migration Scripts
  • Perform Quality Assurance on analyzed data, migrated data and developed scripts
  • Write Reports exposing data issues
  • Write Reports for custom developed software
  • Write interface and back bridge programs for systems
  • Analyze data in MS Excel
  • Set up databases and scripting environments within SQL Server
  • Analyze data issues to determine the best course of action for resolution
  • Work well in team environments, including interaction with the client, other vendors and third parties
  • Work on Business Intelligence / Ad-Hoc Reporting projects and tools
  • Suggest and explore new tools to improve processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred along with demonstrated professional experience
  • Experience with data migrations and data conversions
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Pension experience preferred
  • DBA and database setup skills preferred
  • Experience with migrating pdf images
  • Be able to analyze large quantities of complex data
  • Must work well in a team environment and be flexible as workloads and priorities change
  • Must be a self-starter and able to define and solve problems

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to maintain and/or develop small .NET programs preferred
  • Ability to set up SQL Server databases and perform other light Database Administration (DBA) functions preferred
  • Experience with pension-related data a plus
  • Experience with image (e.g. pdf) conversion from imaging systems to a new system a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint a plus
  • Extensive experience with SQL, SQL Server Database Engine, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Tableau and Microsoft Power BI a plus
  • Experience developing small programs in .NET or a similar development environment a plus
  • Experience with source control systems, such as TFS or Git
  • Experience working with data analysis in Excel
