The Commercial Sales Specialist (CSS) is a Sales support and enablement role within Global Sales and Marketing (GSM). This position supports the Rockwell Automation vision, mission and values by supporting and administering critical Sales processes, tools, and initiatives and by maintaining key relationships with customers and distributor partners for our Field Sales organization.
Sales enablement and support: support and administer Sales processes, policies procedures, and tools; assist Account Managers in pre and post Sales functions; respond to internal and external customer requests to address and resolve inquires and issues; collaborate effectively with Territory and Regional Sales team members and stakeholders relevant to Sales execution; train Sales and other resources in Sales operations and enablement processes and tools and provide subject-matter expertise; support Services and Solutions pre-Sales processes and tools.
Distributor amplification and support: promote Distributor competency in Rockwell Automation tools, processes, procedures and products through the provision of training, communication, reporting, and other proactive measures; team with Channel Sales and Distributors to improve channel performance; engage Distributors on process improvement; maintain and support channel interaction and relationships to drive salesforce effectiveness; provide escalation support for order management, pricing agreements, concessions, and customer experience issues; collaborate with other company and Distributor support functions as needed to resolve issues and improve Distributor and related Sales execution.
Business development: support and coordinate commercial events and other promotional programs; support Lead generation initiatives and processes; support Win Strategy and other customer bid processes; generate customer analytics and provide competitive analysis; use sales data, pricing information and account knowledge to assist in account negotiations; identify opportunities to increase market share and to assist in the selling process; conduct prospect research; nurture relationships with prospects and target customers.
Special projects: support and/or manage special projects including initiatives to enhance Sales processes, tools, and competencies in support of Sales and Distributor productivity improvement.
Sales office facilities management: at the direction of Sales Operations management, support the day-to-day functioning of Field Sales Offices, including support of general facilities management, shipping and receiving, visitor support, onsite events, safety and security processes, office moves and renovations, and collaboration with Operations management and staff to ensure adequate physical presence at Sales offices during business hours.
Sales Operations support: work effectively with other members of the Operations team; train new team members on processes, tools, and other job functions; support North America and Global Sales Operations and Sales Enablement initiatives.
