Our client is currently seeking a Therapy Supervisor to oversee their therapy team which includes physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and speech language pathologists. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that patient rehabilitative care is coordinated and managed appropriately through quality assurance and supervision of these staff members that conduct home therapy visits out in the field. Therapy Supervisor - Home Health Responsibilities:
  • Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members
  • Perform initial and ongoing evaluations according to APTA standards of practice and state standards.
  • Interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations
  • Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit/department and organizational needs and collaborates with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met
  • Manages performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing performance, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work
  • Directs monthly department staff meetings for dissemination of information to staff and to solicit input on the department direction/ongoing issues
  • Communicates with Operations Director on a regular basis, keeping them informed of pertinent departmental issues
  • Therapy Supervisor - Home Health Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Physical/Occupational Therapy Preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational or Physical Therapy School Required
  • Experience with a wide variety of patient age groups, injuries, and physical therapy techniques.
  • Must be licensed in the state
