Then you should join Lockheed Martin Space s Optical Payload Center of Excellence (OPCoE) to support electronic hardware development for space applications as an Associate Electronics Engineer.As a Signal/Image Processing Engineer Staff with the Optical payload Center of Excellence (OPCoE), your responsibilities will include: Development of robotics vision algorithms, software architecture, and computer vision software for embedded software applications. Leading of a small team in the development and testing of computer vision software within simulation environments, to include a physical 12-dof lab. Leading the development of virtual testing using simulated imagery. Leading a small team that develops software algorithms that execute on embedded Power Architectures in a fast-paced environment that employs Agile methodologies.OPCoE enables new frontiers in visible-light and infrared systems, missile defense, space exploration and much more. We are looking for a strong background in computer science and software engineering. You should demonstrate effective verbal communication, commitment to collaborative technology development, develop concise and professional technical presentations, and deliver briefings to peers, leadership, and US Government customers. You should be able to work in a classified environment.Ideally, you will have a background in software or computer science and possess degree from an accredited program in a related discipline, such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another related field. You should be familiar with: Computer vision Embedded software architectures, and C++ development.
