Consolidation Accounting: Perform the following functions on a monthly or quarterly basis, as applicablePrepare LG consolidationsReview financial statements and supporting schedules for reasonableness and completenessResolve issues with reported data directly with operating subsidiariesTranslate results as submitted by operating subsidiaries in accordance with ASC 830Consolidate results in accordance with US GAAP including the generation of adjusting and eliminating journal entriesPrepare statements of stockholders equity including calculation of NCI, acquisitions using LG shares and complicated share-based payment schemes.Prepare cash flow statements under the indirect method in accordance with ASC 230Review and understand complicated accounting transactions (specifically debt, equity, cash flow and foreign exchange matters)Assist with accounting position paper preparation/review Financial Reporting: Perform the following functions on a quarterly basisAssist with work paper preparation/reviewAssist auditors with annual audit and quarterly reviewsAssist Financial Reporting department with 10-Q/10-KReview Equity, NCI, SBC, cash flow and various other disclosures in the 10-Q/10-K for adherence to US GAAP and SEC regulations Assist with special projects/requests for information as required by department head Maintain control environment documented for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance as it relates to consolidations and reporting Prepare various governmental agency quarterly and annual report filings Prepared to work on acquisition integration, working onsite to tight deadlines in order to make sure new acquired entities are aligned to LG US GAAP accounting and reporting guidelines. Ability to present complicated accounting transactions to senior leaders Hyperion Financial management:Perform the following functions:Central point of contact for metadata changesParticipate in Change Management Board MeetingsProvide updated guidance to subsidiaries Assist Manager, Global Consolidations and Reporting in providing HFM training to subsidiaries Assist Manager, Global Consolidations and Reporting in identifying and implementing HFM system and Consolidation process improvements to accelerate completion of the quarterly close cycle
Preferred education/ qualifications: 4 year college degree. Emphasis in Accounting. CPA/ACA/ACCA preferred 2+ years. Public accounting (Big 4) experience preferred
Knowledge & Experience: Business Combinations & M&A Accounting/Reporting/Integration experience (ASC 830 Business Combinations) International Accounting (ASC 830 [FAS 52] Foreign Currency Matters) and Statements of Cash Flows (ASC 230 [SFAS 95]) Consolidations in a complex ownership structure Sarbanes-Oxley Previous experience of working in a Group Reporting department preferred
Skills & Abilities: Strong Excel Skills Working knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS Experience with SEC reporting requirements Hyperion Financial Management System experience preferred No 9-5 mentality able to get the job done when necessary Willingness to travel (length and frequency dependent on M&A targets (typically Europe))
