Job Overview


The Clinical Nurse I provides family-centered care as demonstrated by recognizing the patient, family and/or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient s preferences, values, and needs. Provides healthcare related education to patients and families. Functions effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care. Integrates best current evidence with clinical practice for delivery of optimal health care. Uses data to monitor the outcomes of care processes. Minimizes risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance. Uses information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.

Qualifications


General Work Experience:
  • No more than twelve months has elapsed from the time of graduation to the start date of the program.
  • This must be your first registered nurse position since graduation.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with hospital/clinic staff, patients, parents and visitors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
Required Education/Field of Study: Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited baccalaureate or higher nursing program.

Required License/Certification - Registered Nurse (Final passing notification of NCLEX by July 25, 2020)

Required License/Certification - Advanced Life Support AND/OR other Certification(s) for specific roles may be required within 12 months of hire.

Required License/Certification - American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR
